Production of Biodiesel from Soybean Oil in Less Time and at Low Temperature

The heterogeneous catalyst plays an important role in the production of biodiesel at industrial level. In present work, utilization wollastonite as a is attempted to explore its non-biomedical application. Wollastonite was synthesized by using auto combustion method and L-alanine used fuel for combustion. X-ray diffraction pattern reveals phase purity wollastonite. Fourier transform infrared spectra calcined precursor show presence characteristics functional groups To evaluate catalytic ability prepared wollastonite, transesterification reaction soybean oil with methanol performed. Following reaction, biodiesel, glycerol were separated centrifugation. Optimization percentage done various quantities during subjecting produced gas chromatography. It can be concluded that combined alkali metal oxide silica has assisted (82.6%) less time low temperature.
